Why “Prologue?”
A prologue sets the scene for what's ahead. It's the foundation everything else is built on.
That's what I do—help businesses start strong, with systems and strategies that turn uncertainty into clarity. Your prologue isn't about someday. It's about building the structure you need right now, so you can move forward with confidence.
How I Work
I've never met a business that fits perfectly into someone else's framework. That's why I don't do cookie-cutter solutions. I listen first, map your reality, and build solutions that actually fit your business.
My approach:
Start with what's broken, not what's trendy
Build systems you'll actually use, not overcomplicated frameworks
Focus on clarity and repeatable processes
Blend operational efficiency with human-centered design
Whether it's conducting operational audits, creating process documentation, implementing CRM systems, or designing workflows from scratch, my job is to build the operational foundation you need so you can focus on what you do best.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
A fractional COO provides senior-level operational leadership on a part-time or as-needed basis. I help growing businesses build systems, optimize workflows, implement tools, and create the operational infrastructure needed to scale—without the commitment or cost of a full-time executive hire.
-
You probably need operational support if: your team keeps reinventing processes, important information only exists in someone's head, you're the bottleneck for everything, onboarding new people takes forever because nothing is documented, or growth feels harder than it should.
-
If your business is growing but you're not ready for a $150K+ salary plus benefits, a part-time COO gives you strategic operations leadership exactly when you need it. It's ideal for companies in that in-between phase—past startup chaos but not quite ready for full-time executive hires.
-
I work across industries—from nonprofits to experiential events to marine services. Good operations principles apply everywhere. What matters more is whether you're at the stage where you need real operational infrastructure.
-
Absolutely. I help businesses create clear processes, document workflows, implement the right tools, define roles and responsibilities, and build operational systems that actually work for your team. Whether you need everything built from scratch or just want to fix specific problem areas, I can help.
-
Absolutely. Many clients start with a specific project—like a CRM implementation or operational audit—and then transition to ongoing support once they see the value of having consistent operations leadership.
-
Both. I'm based in St. Petersburg, Florida and work with local clients in person as needed. I also work with clients across the country remotely. Most engagements are a hybrid—some in-person time for discovery and key meetings, with ongoing work handled remotely.
The Story
I didn't set out to become a Fractional COO. I just kept noticing the same pattern everywhere I worked.
Talented people with clear vision, stuck in operational chaos. Growing businesses with no documentation. Teams asking "how do we do this again?" every time something came up. The ideas were there. The systems weren't.
I spent years building operational infrastructure in places that desperately needed it but didn't have the resources for a full-time executive. At a local Tampa Bay nonprofit, I created everything from employee handbooks to volunteer coordination systems because the organization was growing faster than its backend could handle. At other small businesses, I consolidated scattered tools, documented processes that lived only in people's heads, and built the operational foundation that let the business scale sustainably.
Every role had the same thread: I was doing Chief Operating Officer work—building the systems and structure that turn potential into reality.
So I made it official. I launched Prologue & Co. in 2025 to step into growing businesses and build the operational backbone they need to scale without falling apart. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, I work with clients locally and across the country—anywhere a business needs strategic operations support without the overhead of a full-time hire.
